cherished characters

it appears that there is a gallery featuring various portraits here.
perhaps they have some kind of significant meaning to the garden's resident...?

i thought it would be nice to have a little page featuring some of my favorite characters. they range from characters that mean the world to me, to ones i just think are neat. or hot. or whatever.

Alucard (Castlevania)

i love him i love him i love him i love ihm i lov e h

fine, alright. i'll write an actual description for Alucard. it was love at first sight. ever since i played SotN for the first time, i could not help myself but fall in love, and also get massive gender envy from him. oh, to be a sad half-vampire with beautiful long hair, long eyelashes, and cool swords. but there's also something narratively compelling to me about someone who feels torn between two parts of themself, struggles to connect to other people, but despite everything, manages to have bonds with people that last for generations... god i really love Alucard okay

official art of Olivia, from Fire Emblem: Awakening

Olivia (Fire Emblem)

my wife... years ago, i drew her a LOT. i saw a lot of myself in Olivia, so i got really attached to her... she's still very special to me. even if i'm not really much of a Fire Emblem fan anymore, every time i see fanart of her i can't help but smile

official art of Edgeworth, from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

Miles Edgeworth (Ace Attorney)

i have loved this pathetic man since 2008 and i am not ashamed to admit it. i absolutely have a weak point for stoic weirdos who are secretly huge nerds. really hope he got therapy at some point during the ace attorney timeline.

i just think they're neat

official art of Testament, from Guilty Gear Strive

Testament (Guilty Gear)

i've never played a single fighting game in my life, but: a hot nonbinary goth who seems intimidating but is actually very kind, and learns to embrace themselves over time and works through their trauma, and also is a weirdo who hides in the forest... is in fact one of the most tulipcore things i can possibly think of. thank you Testament. thank you for everything.
